Francisco Javier Moreno Gálvez (English)


Post-doctoral in the Department of Journalism I of the University of Seville (PAIDI-2020 Program). PhD in Communication with International Mention by the University of Seville within the program “Communication and Culture Criticism”, he is also post graduated in “Communication and Local Development”. He has extensive research experience participating in international projects and developed stays as visiting scholar at the University of Brasilia (UnB), the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the University Paris 8 and the California State University Northridge (CSUN).

As a professor he has taught at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain), the University of Guayaquil and the IAEN (Ecuador) and the UNESP (Brazil). As an author, he has coordinated several publications such as Cultura Latina y Revolución Digital. Matrices para pensar el espacio iberoamericano de comunicación (Gedisa) and Fundamentos de teoría del periodismo (IECD). He has co-authored several books including Capitalismo financiero y comunicación (CIESPAL), Políticas de comunicación y ciudadanía cultural iberoamericana (Gedisa), Economia Política da Comunicação: Digitalização e Sociedade (Cultura Acadêmica) and Politicas de Comunicação. Buscas teóricas e práticas (Paulus). He participates in different research networks such as the Latin Union of Political Economy of

Information, Communication and Culture (ULEPICC) or the Europe – Latin America Network of Communication and Development (REAL-CODE).

Coordinator of the Erasmus + program project “Dismantling fake news to stop hatred: education for the inclusion of adult women in risk of exclusion” (2019-1-ES01-KA204-065800) and collaborator in the R&D project “Disagreement in attitudes. Normativity, disagreement and affective polarization” (PID2019-109764RB-I00).
