Some nonlinear parabolic problems modeling chemotaxis-phenomena
Resumen
The term chemotaxis is referred to the movement of a cells population in response to a chemical signal. The model, proposed by Keller and Segel in 1970, is described by a coupled taxis-diffusion system, composed by two parabolic equations: one for the cells distribution, the other for the chemical. The aim of this short seminar is to give a brief overview about the aforementioned formulation and some of its natural variants. In particular, in order to properly present the research, we complement the theoretical results with various numerical simulations.
