Existence result for the coupling of Shallow water and Borda-Carno equations with Riemann data
Resumen
We consider a subcritical flow in a sudden expansion canal. The flow is given by 1D Saint-Venant equations in each part of the expansion together with mass conservation and Borda-Carno conditions at the expansion. We show that the Borda-Carno equation which is a variation of Bernoulli invariant yields always an entropic solution. The linear Riemann problem has a unique solution and that under certain condition there is a unique solution for the nonlinear problem.
