Dengue: Model with human mobility
Resumen
We present recent models dealing with the spread of infectious diseases, starting with the simple SIS model and building it up to include human mobility. The understanding of human mobility and the development of qualitative and quantitative models are key to understand human infectious diseases. Using Dengue as an example we try to connect several dynamic models, from systems of ordinary differential equations to evolution equations with fractional powers of the Laplacian. We conclude by presenting the problem that we are currently working on, namely trying to address the risk of someone acquiring Dengue during a stay in Brazil.
