Nuestro laboratorio se dedica a investigar cómo la inflamación y la plasticidad celular desencadenan y promueven el cáncer, principalmente a través de la generación de inestabilidad cromosómica. Actualmente, tenemos dos líneas de investigación en curso:
La primera línea de investigación se centra en el estudio de la inflamación del páncreas utilizando modelos de ratones, en el marco del proyecto EMERGIA de la Junta de Andalucía. La segunda línea de investigación se enfoca en el proceso de metástasis y el papel fundamental de la Transición Epitelial-Mesenquimal (EMT) en la generación de diversidad genética. Este proyecto cuenta con el respaldo de la Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI).
Our laboratory is dedicated to investigating how inflammation and cellular plasticity trigger and promote cancer, primarily through the generation of chromosomal instability. Currently, we have two ongoing lines of research:
The first line of research focuses on studying pancreas inflammation using mouse models, within the framework of the EMERGIA project funded by the Andalusian Regional Government. The second line of research centers on the metastasis process and the pivotal role of Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) in generating genetic diversity. This project is supported by the Spanish Research Agency (AEI).
