This Doctoral course brings the opportunity to PhD students to present their work in a multidisciplinary context along with presentations of international experts from leading Universities and Research Centers. The course is oriented for PhD students and young researchers with a background in Process Engineering and interested in recent advances for thermochemical conversion of biomass and residues.<\/p>\n

The course will cover the following topics:
\n \u2022\tExperimental tests (measurements and protocols)
\n \u2022\tConceptual design of thermochemical biorefineries (modeling and techno-economic assessment)
\n \u2022\tTechnical development in syngas cleaning
\n \u2022\tEnvironmental impact of biomass and residues valorization<\/p>\n

The course is organized by the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department of the University of Seville. We thank the participation of Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden), Politecnico de Milano (Italy), Joint Research Center (JRC, European Commission) and CIEMAT (Spain).
