Francisco Baena (Huelva, 1982) is a Professor in the Department of Journalism at the University of Seville (Spain) where he has been a faculty membersince 2005. Francisco completed his Ph.D. and his undergraduate studies at University of Seville. His research interests lie in the area of media history, ranging from Early Modern news networks to 20th century journalism in Spain, with a focus on working-class propaganda. In recent years, he has focused on applying digital humanities methods to analyse history of journalism.
