Investigación

Catedrático con perfil docente: Arquitectura y Medio ambiente, Arquitectura y Ciudad en Asia Oriental e Historia, Teoría y Composición Arquitectónicas 4. Imparte docencia en la ETS de Arquitectura y Grado en Estudios de Asia Oriental. Ha participado o dirigido proyectos de investigación financiados por la Unión Europea y en colaboración con universidades iberoamericanas (México, Brasil, Perú). En relación con estudios sobre Asia Oriental ha sido profesor invitado en universidades de China (Tsinghua University – Pekín, Nanjing, Shanghai International Studies University) y Japón (Kobe Design University, Shiga Prefecture, Kanda – Tokyo). En EEUU ha realizado diversas estancias de investigación en Berkeley, UCLA, Cal Poly Pomona y Columbia University. Ha obtenido el título de Chino, Japonés y Portugués en el Instituto de Idiomas de la Universidad de Sevilla. Revisor habitual de artículos en revistas indexadas en JCR, entre ellas Sustainability, Habitat International, Buildings o Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering.

 Chair professor with teaching profile: Architecture and Environment, Architecture and City in East Asia and Architectural History, Theory and Composition. He teaches at the School of Architecture and the bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies. He has directed or participated in research projects funded by the European Union and in collaboration with Ibero-American universities (Mexico, Brazil, Peru). In relation to studies on East Asia, he has been a visiting scholar at universities in China (Tsinghua University – Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai International Studies University) and Japan (Kobe Design University, Shiga Prefecture, Kanda – Tokyo). In the US, he has been a visiting scholar at Berkeley, Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA and Columbia universities. He has obtained degrees in Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese at the Language Institute of the University of Seville. Regular reviewer in JCR-indexed journals including Sustainability, Habitat International, Buildings or Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering.
