Sin embargo, en el momento presente, las investigaciones feministas a\u00fan no han penetrado suficientemente la historiograf\u00eda de la arquitectura. En este contexto, esta tesis se aproxima a el concepto de \u201cfeminismo arquitect\u00f3nico\u201d como una herramienta de an\u00e1lisis que nos permite examinar los feminismos a trav\u00e9s de los dise\u00f1os arquitect\u00f3nicos y urbanos desde la producci\u00f3n del espacio y en cualquier periodo temporal, con independencia de que existiera un feminismo consciente sincr\u00f3nico. Aproximarnos a un entendimiento de este concepto nos permite capturar y preservar las historias que hab\u00edan sido devaluadas, invisibilizadas o apropiadas en la producci\u00f3n del entorno construido, explicando, a su vez, el porqu\u00e9 de esta cuesti\u00f3n. Como ejemplo de esta aproximaci\u00f3n, este trabajo investiga el trabajo de dos organizaciones de mujeres en los Pa\u00edses Bajos en los a\u00f1os cincuenta: la fundaci\u00f3n Elisabeth Brugsma, que promovi\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n del edificio para mujeres Elisabeth Brugsmasflat en la ciudad de La Haya, y el primer Comit\u00e9 Asesor de Mujeres (VAC), que brind\u00f3 asesoramiento al Departamento de Vivienda Social de la ciudad de Rotterdam en la construcci\u00f3n de viviendas sociales de posguerra. Ambas iniciativas ocurrieron en un tiempo en el que la falta de apoyo social limitaba las oportunidades de las mujeres para poder influir o construir obras e ideas de dise\u00f1o. Como contraposici\u00f3n, ambas organizaciones colaboraron o incluyeron entre sus filas a algunas de las primeras arquitectas tituladas del pa\u00eds, trabajando colaborativamente para sentar las bases de la mejora de los est\u00e1ndares de vivienda. Esto fue especialmente relevante para todas aquellas neerlandesas que ten\u00edan que asumir en exclusiva el trabajo de cuidados no remunerado en el hogar o que anhelaban vivir de forma independiente. Es por ello que podemos entender ambos ejemplos como una forma de feminismo arquitect\u00f3nico que transform\u00f3 los procesos y metodolog\u00edas de dise\u00f1o de la arquitectura de viviendas en la b\u00fasqueda por la mejora de sus espacios de vida.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">Since the last decades of the 20th century, feminist movements have had a significant impact in all areas of knowledge, including architecture, urban design, and territorial studies. However, at the present moment, feminist research has not yet sufficiently penetrated the historiography of architecture. In this context, this thesis approaches the concept of \u00abarchitectural feminism\u00bb as an analytical tool that allows us to examine feminisms through architectural and urban designs, considering the production of space across different time periods, regardless of the existence of synchronous conscious feminism. Approaching an understanding of this concept enables us to capture and preserve stories that had been devalued, rendered invisible, or appropriated in the production of the built environment, explaining the reasons behind this issue. As an example of this approach, this work investigates the efforts of two women&#8217;s organizations in the Netherlands in the 1950s: the Elisabeth Brugsma Foundation, which promoted the construction of the Elisabeth Brugsmasflat building for women in The Hague, and the first Women&#8217;s Advisory Committee (VAC), which provided advice to the Department of Social Housing in Rotterdam on the construction of post-war social housing. Both initiatives took place at a time when the lack of social support limited women&#8217;s opportunities to influence or construct works and design ideas. In contrast, both organizations collaborated or included among their ranks some of the country&#8217;s first qualified women architects, working collaboratively to establish the foundations for improving housing standards. This was especially relevant for Dutch women who had to exclusively take on unpaid care work at home or who aspired to live independently.
