History
of the network
|
|
CaRed was formed in
early 2016 as a national derivation of the
Ibero-American network IberCarot, led by Dr. Antonio
Meléndez. CaRed was funded by the "Networks of
Excellence" program of the Ministry of Economy and
Competitiveness (BIO2015-71703-REDT). In 2018, funding
was renewed until 2020 (BIO2017-90877-REDT). In these
two editions, CaRed was coordinated by Dr. Manuel
Rodríguez-Concepción, then belonging to CRAG
(Barcelona). In this period CaRed was formed by 10
groups, which have been expanded to 14 in the current
network.
