Ph.D. in Economics, Business and Social Sciences
The main objective of this doctoral program is to train future expert researchers in the field of economics, business and social sciences, both applied and theoretical, with a high degree of professional specialization. It is intended that the doctoral student acquires advanced training for the mastery of the knowledge of these disciplines, as well as their research methods. In addition, it is intended to develop their ability to conceive, plan, structure, analyze and carry out a research process and to approach possible problems with flexibility and capacity for adaptation and innovation. The PhD in Economics, Business and Social Sciences will be aimed at the advanced training of the doctoral student in research techniques, and will include the preparation and presentation of the corresponding doctoral thesis, which must include original research work in these scientific disciplines, potentially publishable in scientific journals, or already published during the process of preparing the doctoral thesis. In this way, the program will train researchers who will be able to develop their activity both within the national and international university environment, as well as in other institutions and companies, such as public and private research centers, research centers of large corporations, R&D departments of companies, etc.
